Small Business Tools

As a small business owner AKA – Boss Babe, there are some tools that I absolutely live by. I thought I would make a little list of some of my favorites for my fellow Boss Babes.

CANVA

This has to be my absolute favorite tool of all the tools that I use. Canva , is great for all of your graphic needs. It is easy to use and very affordable. They sell brand kits with really helpful premade templated for all instagram formats (reels, stories, posts, carousels), all facebook templates, blog and podcast graphic templates , that really help to keep your branding consistent. LOVE LOVE LOVE Canva.

CONSTANT CONTACT

Email marketing is so important. From the very beginning when I started to investigate blogging and monetization of my blog, every article and class I took stressed the importance of a mailing list. One of the most powerful tools for a small business is its mailing list. The mailing list can be used in so many ways. I’ve found it to be very helpful for me in advertising and selling products and event tickets. It’s a great way to build relationships with your audience. I’ve used constant contact from the very beginning and it works for me. There are other email marketing applications on the market, that all have their special features, that may be attractive depending on the kind of business you have. I’ve found that I prefer the fee structure and I like the features in constant contact. Its easy to integrate landing pages and sign up forms onto the website or blog as well and I think that’s what has kept me using it. Check it out!

LINKTREE

Link tree is great for connecting all of your websites and social media handles in one place to make it easy for your audience to find you. I use mines mainly on my instagram profile to connect customers to my pinterest, facebook, shop and blog sites. I only have the free version because I am still exploring other ways to use it. So far its working well and I am going to definitely be moving to the paid version as I expand the business.

SOCIAL

Of course social media as a whole is very useful and makes it really easy to reach present customers and future customers. These days the algorithms can be tricky to navigate but once you get a hang of them and post regularly its really a great way to get seen. I don’t have a whole lot of time on my hands these days, so I’ve stuck to platforms like facebook, instagram and pinterest (old faithfuls). I want to break into the tiktok world soon. Working on content for that has taken me a bit longer.

These are just a few of my favorite tools that I use on a weekly basis for my small business. There are tons of other great tools out there. Feel free to share some of your favorites in the comments.

Peace!
