Warm Spiced Apple Cider
Warm apple cider is the perfect holiday drink especially on a brisk night. It’s really nice for entertaining as well. I’ve made it a few times for family functions and its a really good after dinner drink, when people are kinda of just sitting around chatting and catching up. You really cant go wrong with a beautifully spiced cider during the holidays.

When I do spiced apple cider I like to add cinnamon sticks, fresh ginger and orange peel. I find those flavors marry together nicely with a little brown sugar. I usually simmer the cider slowly in a large pot over medium heat until it boils and then turn it down and let is simmer for a bit more. A trick to keeping the cider warm and easy for your guests to get to , is to put it in a slow cooker and turn it down on keep warm.
