R&R DECORATIONS
Over the last few weeks I have been on the road searching for pieces and supplies to complete the decor for the Dinner Party we have coming up. I’ve been to a bunch of the bigger household stores and found that they don’t have very much in the way of decor that stands out. Everything was pretty ‘ordinary’ for lack of a better term.
I ended up right back at one of my favorite spots! R&R Decorations, off of Hog Bay level in Somerset. Â I just love this store. Not only do they have some really nice and unique products but the customer service is the best! I got to thinking, you know we always hear about these larger companies who have tons of money to throw at advertising and clogging up our time lines but its the smaller businesses that really add that intimate feeling to shopping. They are definitely worthy of some much needed recognition.
R&R Decorations was established by two sisters Sonia Ratteray and Latanya Richardson, back in 2005. After finishing the building and decorating of their own houses they decided to go into Interior Decorating and became Certified Interior Decorators. They began selling a small range of products from their homes. Later as their customer base grew they moved to a two story town house style building and there it was born.
I have personally been shopping at R&R for about 10 years and I remember the first time I went there and encountered Tanya and Sonia. They are the most lovely people. They were very friendly and helpful and offered so much advice and suggestions on styling ideas for my home. I don’t think I actually bought anything on my first visit, but when I left, I felt like I had two new friends!!
What I like most about their store, apart from all the really fabulous stuff, is that the store is laid out just like a house, with a living room, kitchen, foyer, and a bedroom and bathroom on the upper level. This makes it easy for the customer to see what things actually look like in the space and gives you a good idea of sizes and colour combinations.
Not only do they sell household decor but they also offer a wide range of services from in-home consultation to installations and custom window treatments. From time to time they offer classes and workshops. I’ve personally attended one of their workshops and found it to be very informative and helpful. It was a whole day of home decor and tips for your guest room , dining room, and all the other rooms in your house! HEAVEN!
If you are bored with the same old same old  in the larger department stores come and shop at R&R Decorations, believe me the friendly service and fabulous products will have you coming back for more!
p.s. Enjoy the fresh homemade, complimentary sugar cookies and oatmeal raisin cookies with bottled water while you shop!
A huge thanks to R&R decorations for allowing us to feature their fabulous store! My favorable opinion of their products and in store experience is 100% my own. For more information see my Disclosure policy here.
